A book based on a great idea. I feel like the reader has to do a little work and I found it a tough to keep on top of at times, but it was variously scary, sweet, confusing. More horror than sci-fi. I enjoyed it.

This book was very long. The characters were straight out of a pantomime. There are goodies and baddies and nothing in the way of shades of grey. Slightly saved by some interesting cathedral chat, but honestly: not worth it.

At first I thought that not much happened in this one and I found the lack of explanation of the world a little frustrating. Having finished it, I find myself thinking about it quite a bit. The strange world creates a space to explore what our memories mean, and how they define who we are.

Gabriel Smith

Man, this was a bit of a wild ride. Dude inherits a house, has a bit of a downward spiral involving fights, drinks, drugs and a haunted novel. And his skin falls off. Generally, he's not having a great time, and I'm not wholly convinced I did either.

Edward Ashton

Light hearted book about an "AI" malware called Mal, forced to jump around between physical, real world systems after it loses its wifi. Mal's literal interpretation of the world is pretty funny in places. Quite fun.

Speculative fiction. Hot planet. Detective novel. World elections: Shady sounding dude vs Benevolent AI dude. A few twists and turns. Did not love the writing style.
